People come to me often just when only dating and some become long time clients and I get to have the benefit of being the one who capture and create Phoenix photography studios images of their growing and evolving lives. Two becomes one, then two becomes three, and so on. So, I get to see and hear the storys, dreams, and plans often from the start which is really cool. As far as maternity images go I seem to always prefer the more dramatically lit images and on darker backgrounds which all lends to the emphasizing the exposed belly, hands, and faces. Knowing if it is a boy or girl defiantly helps when it comes to stylizing and using props in the shoot as well. And, if a name has already been picked out then we can take even one step further. Many woman prefer to have their maternity pictures done somewhere in between month six and month seven and others want to capture themselves during their last month of pregnancy. Many people come to me but I also often bring an entire studio type set up and go them to make it as easy as possibly on their soon to change lives. The benefit about going on location is that I can set up a studio background situation and do environmental type portraits in and around their homes with easy access to clothing changes, props, and pets. It’s all good with me whether I’m creating Phoenix photography studios images at my place or yours. I just really enjoy meeting and working with new people and having the potential of a new long term relationship with them.

Keith Alstrin , owner of Arcadia Photography, and one of the best Phoenix wedding photographers in Arizona was chosen to create a series of images for the fashion spread of Arizona Weddings Magazine 2010/2011 edition. Keith was chosen for the assignment because of his ability to create stunning images through the use of lighting and posing. Keith also did the post production work of adding the black and white flower backgrounds to the images. The client wanted to use only one model and show as many different looks as possible, so with each dress change there was hair and make-up changes. Keith photographed the model in 12 different dresses with 12 different looks and in addition he did other sets of shots for the magazine covers.

Fall is our favorite time of year to do portraits of children. The leaves change here pretty quick so it is a short window of time, but it’s possible to get some very un-Arizona looking images that make for beautiful  and artistic portrait photos. Plus, if the photo sessions are done around Halloween the portraits are ready to give as gifts and use for cards and the holidays.

It’s very common for couples who hired us to photograph their wedding to call us back a few years later to photograph their children. I photographed Andrew and Christina’s wedding a few years ago and recently they came back from Chicago and asked me to photograph their son Alex.  We always like to include studio and location photography when we create great images. We did some of the photography in the studio and some on location and the entire shoot took less than a couple hours. Fall is also the best time of the year to do this because the images can be used for holiday cards and as gifts for relatives. Shooting beauty type and crazy fun, cool portrait photography images are some of my favorite to create. Whether in the studio or on location photography. It is always fun to shoot what ever I want or what ever someone wants of themselves.
